CETIN Hungary’s energy-efficiency initiative, CETIN 5Green, has been recognized with the “Sustainable Infocommunication” Professional Excellence Award, acknowledging the company’s efforts to make mobile network operations more sustainable while supporting the rapid growth of digital connectivity.

The CETIN 5Green program aims to reduce the energy intensity of mobile infrastructure services despite continuously increasing data traffic driven by technologies such as AI and IoT.

The program is built on five interconnected pillars:

•       Mobile network modernization through the deployment of highly energy-efficient 5G technology.

•       Efficient network energy management, using dynamically optimized energy-saving operation of radio and transmission equipment.

•       Modernization of energy supply systems to increase efficiency and reduce losses.

•       Data center optimization and modernization to lower energy consumption across core infrastructure.

•       Transformation of cooling systems at base stations and data centers to further improve operational efficiency.

Through CETIN 5Green, CETIN Hungary demonstrates how a technology company can combine innovation, business performance and sustainability to create long-term value while supporting the growing demand for digital services.
