CETIN Networks, in cooperation with O2 Business Services, is delivering the DigiNet project aimed at modernizing internet connectivity for schools across Slovakia. The project's objective is to provide high-speed internet access to educational institutions that have historically relied on low-bandwidth connections, often based on DSL technology.

Each school is connected through dedicated transmission capacity, with fibre-optic connectivity being the preferred solution wherever optical infrastructure is available. In other locations, connectivity is provided through microwave links. The service is delivered via an SD-WAN platform, enabling efficient network management and a high level of operational reliability.

The project includes the deployment of both active and passive network infrastructure within school premises, as well as comprehensive Wi-Fi coverage to support students, teachers, and administrative staff. All networks and services are monitored on a 24/7 basis to ensure their availability, performance, and service quality.

The rollout of the project is currently underway, with completion expected during the first half of 2026. As of 30 June 2026, a total of 394 schools across Slovakia had been successfully connected under the DigiNet program.
